Maintenance Technician - Team Lead (236-269)

Purpose/Primary Function:

Team Lead to coordinate the nightly maintenance responsibilities and repairs based on safety considerations, production needs, order of urgency and assets required for the task.
Help us deliver what's next in outdoor living by being responsible for safety inspection and audits, equipment breakdowns, system upgrades, preventative and predictive maintenance, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, organization of resources, and interacting with personnel effectively, to include the Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Technicians, Engineers, Contractors, Vendors, and the Production Department.
As our next Maintenance Technician ? Team Lead, you must have strong interpersonal skills and five or more yearss experience within a maintenance department. You will schedule and manage repairs, help develop standard operating procedures, and drive safety performance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Drives safety performance and company policy is strictly adhered to. Monitor/track attendance, perfect attendance, vacations through weekly Kronos reporting.
Develop, coordinate, and assign daily Maintenance repair tasks in the Fernley Plant.
Maintain records and equipment repair information as needed.
Will be responsible for maintaining an acceptable level of housekeeping within the Maintenance Department.
Coordinates with the Maintenance Supervisor every shift on Maintenance activities and requirements.
Ensures effective employee relations and teamwork within the Maintenance Department.
Monitors performance to ensure satisfactory completion of assigned maintenance tasks.
Schedule and manage the repairs, preventative/predictive maintenance and vendor service of equipment on a daily basis.
Maintain employee time and vacation entries in ADP time system.
Leads Maintenance Technician Training syllabus, developing MT technical competence.
Assists in developing adequate standard operating procedures and standard work operations.
Communicates with the parts department admin on parts procurements and spare equipment inventory status.
Effectively assigns MT time to complete work orders utilizing the JDE CMMS work order system.
Oversee preventive/predictive maintenance program.
Attends operations/ strategic meetings in the absence of Maintenance Supervisor.
This is a night shift position.

Required Experience
Experience and Education:
Must currently be at least a Maintenance Technician 3, or have a combination of work experience and technical/industrial knowledge equivalent to a Maintenance Technician 3 or Maintenance Technician 4.
Must currently have five or more years within a maintenance department.
