Preventative Maintenance Technician

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance action on all plant equipment to include:
    • Gear box oil changes.
    • Lubrication of assigned equipment and parts.
    • Filter changes and cleaning.
    • Removal and replacement of drive belts and chains.
    • Other preventative maintenance actions as determined by Trex management.
  • Ensure that all hazardous material and substances are properly disposed of in assigned containers.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all material necessary for the performance of the assigned preventative maintenance actions.
  • Make recommendations to the maintenance management team to the periodicity of preventative maintenance action based on observations and historical information.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in meetings, and document results of studies and evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance is maintained with all applicable OSHA, EPA, and applicable local laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
This is a night shift position.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work from heights.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to climb ladders.
Required Experience
Experience and Education:
  • Prefer a minimum of two years of experience with industrial preventative maintenance systems. Must be able to attend training classes to keep current with process technologies.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Competent technical skills required with a background in industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Must possess a concern for accuracy and check accuracy of data received or generated.
  • Must be forward thinking and draw on lessons learned to project what is likely to happen.
  • Must be flexible and adjust to changing work priorities.
  • Must be innovative and look for new or better ways of doing things.
  • Must be comfortable taking initiative and pursue opportunities or take action before being asked.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
